Prussia - Golden Commemorative Cross for female servants grouping
Description
Prussian Golden Commemorative Cross for female servants. Made from real gold. "585" hallmark. Hollow-inside. Engraved "40 Jahre treuer Dienste" (40 years of faithful service). Weight: 9.1 gr. In its original case of issue. "J. Wagner & Sohn Berlin" maker marked to the lining. The case opens and closes correctly.
Including the matching certificate. Issued on 3. March 1906 to widow Maria Köning. Hand-signed by the Queen of Prussia Augusta Victoria of Schleswig-Holstein. The cross was also awarded personally by her. A4-format. Two corners of the certificate are missing as well as one 5 cm long crack to the bottom.
Furthermore a nice period time portrait photo of her. She wears the cross! Size: 6.5x10.5 cm.
An excellent and rare grouping.
