Major Heinrich Höfer - ribbon to Knight's Cross
Description
Period time neck ribbon to Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. Length: 16 cm. A narrow elastic band was attached after 1945 by hand on both sides. Major Höfer also wore his Knight's Cross during his service with the German Bundeswehr. Signs of wear.
Total length: approx. 46 cm.
Major Höfer (1911-1996) served during WWII as a commanding officer with II./Kampfgeschwader 55. He continued his military service with the German Bundeswehr from 15.12.1955 until 30.09.1971. His last military rank was Oberst im Generalstab.
