Constructed of black fabric. Machine-embroidered, so-called "Kurbelstickerei". The front shows an aircraft in the center, bordered by a wreathof leaves. Below a ribbon bow in the national colors. Lettering "Durch Kampf zum Sieg! 1933 Manfred v. Richthofen". Furthermore the unit patch "Eslarn" in the left upper corner. The back of the flag shows the DJ-rune in the center (one mend 15x12 cm).
The flag is bordered by aluminium wire fringes on three sides, as well as on the left side with three metal rings for attaching the flagpole. One ring is missing.
