VIEW DESCRIPTION

This item came straight of the grandson of the officer who was fighting against partisans in Croatia around 1944 as a Gebirgsjäger. He served as an infantry officer earlier on. It was given to the grandson shortly before he died.

1944 "Bardonecchia" pendant. Made from brass. Issued to an officer serving with Gebirgsjäger-Regiment 297. Involved in anti-partisan combat in Croatia around 1944.
