Personal photo album to Generalmajor Theodor Scherer, commander of the 281. Sicherungs-Division. For the defense of the Cholm Pocket, he was decorated with the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross on 20. February 1942 and the Cholm Shield on 31. October 1942. He was also involved in anti-partisan combat on several occasions. On 5. May 1942 awarded the Oak Leaves. 

The album was personally presented by Generalfeldmarschall Georg von Küchler. Annotated on the first page and signed by him. An excellent photo album shows the operations of Army Group North in Russia in 1942 and the reconstruction after the fighting.  Each photo is accompanied by a description. Total: 43 photos. Size each: 17x12 cm. No photos have been removed. 

The front cover of the album bears the national eagle (metal). Nice linen binding. Size album: 48x33.5 cm.
