VIEW DESCRIPTION

An excellent portrait photo of Gebirgsjäger Harald von Hirschfeld, Knight's Cross with Oak Leaves winner. He was also the Wehrmacht's youngest general officer. Killed in action on 18. January 1945. Posthumously promoted to Generalleutnant on 10. February 1945. "Tita Binz Berlin" stamped to the back.

The photo was taken in May 1943.
