Luftwaffe M38 helmet which was only issued to German paratroopers. An untouched barn find!
Typical helmet shell with an "ET71" maker and size stamp to the side.
Liner: worn leather liner. Still soft. Parts of the liner have separated from the pads. Some damage.
Markings: "Kopfweite 58" size marked and "Stahlhelm Gr.71" shell size marked. Hensler maker marked.
Screws: Aluminum
Chin straps: Quite dry 1st pattern chin strap. Rust to the buttons. Damaged.
Paint: Signs of wear and age. About 75% of the original paint in place.
Decal: About 60-70% of the eagle is still present but the swastika was removed.
