This War Merit Cross 1st Class with Swords is vaulted and on screw-back. The finish of the zinc based cross is faded away. A late war but scarce cross in its rare and original case of issue with LDO and L/52 stamp.

Vaulted crosses are very scarce. Vaulted screw-back examples even more so.
