Imperial Germany - Cavalry officer's lion head sabre with hanger & portepee - Alcoso
Description
Etched blade to two sides. Alcoso maker's mark. The hilt fittings are made from brass. A lion head pommel. The grip is finished with leather, the wire wrapping is in position as well as intact. The front langet bears two crossed lances. Nickel plated steel scabbard. Both screws in palce. No dents. Slight rust stains. Condition 3.
Portepee for cavalry officer's. Made from leather. Signs of use and age. Condition 3.
The hanger is not complete. A part of it is torn off and missing. Condition 3.
