Description

Grouping to Unteroffizier Günther Lange serving with Jäger-Regiment 34 (L) and Volksgrenadier-Regiment 331. On 1.10.1944 he was transferred from the Luftwaffe to the Heer. Uffz. Lange was involved in the Battle of Normandy ("Invasionsfront") and the Battle of the Bulge ("Ardennes Offensive").

Luftwaffe Soldbuch. Issued on 2.2.1940. Original applied photo. His military career can be traced very well on the basis of his units. Noted on page 4. Awards: 1939 Iron Cross 2nd Class and Wound Badge in Gold. Listed on page 22. Signs of use and two pages are loose.

Certificate to 1939 Iron Cross 2nd Class. Issued on 8.1.1945 by Volksgrenadier-Division 167. Signed by Generalleutnant Hans-Kurt Höcker, Knight's Cross winner.

Certificate to Wound Badge in Gold. Issued on 1.3.1945. Signed by an Oberstabsarzt. Please note: for the first wounding he was awarded the Wounded Badge in Gold!

Two NSFK booklets. Issued on 3.9.1942 and 4.9.1942 by the Fliegerhorstkommandantur Berlin-Gatow Segelfluggruppe.

Two period time documents. Among them is a "Strafverfügung" penalty order issued by the Fliegerhorstkompanie Berlin-Gatow. He was sentenced to 3 weeks of arrest.
