Description

A privately purchased officer's field tunic with a dark green collar and vertical bars to all pockets.

Breast eagle: Post-war re-attached. Machine-embroidered NCO's pattern. Attached by hand.
Collar tabs: Officer's tabs. Period time attached by machine.
Shoulder boards: white. Sewn-in. Gilt "520" ciphers. Hauptmann.
Lining. Fine silk. Partially damaged on the armpits (signs of wear).
Name tag: Oberleutnant Hillgärtner 20.2.1940

Tailor's tag: Mathias Hain, Trier.

Original hand-attached Iron Cross 2nd class ribbon. Furthermore a loop for a small ribbon-bar and on the right side also a loop for German Cross in Gold (post-war attached).

Buttons: Complete. Original attached.

Minot moth damage to the jacket.
