Description

The sabre comes with an excellent clean blade. "Rudolf Büchel Solingen-Merscheid" maker marked. Not easy to find this manufacturer. 

Beautiful gold-plated brass handle fittings with a lion's head pommel. It has inlaid red glass eyes. Black celluloid grip with intact wire wrapping. No chipping or cracks. The front langet bears the national eagle with outstretched wings. Original black painted steel scabbard (around 97% present). No dents. 

An excellent sabre in mint condition!
