Description
Dagger of the Italian Voluntary Militia for National Security (Milizia Volontaria per la Sicurezza Nazionale) - popularly known as the "Blackshirts".
Unmarked nickel-plated steel blade. Aluminum handle fittings with an eagle's head pommel. Black grip plates with the inlaid emblem of the organization. No chipping. Black re-painted steel scabbard which is free of dents. The leather hanger is in place.
Length: 30 cm.
Nice condition.
According to our consignor, the knife was worn by the Italian Generalleutnant Giuseppe Moscone, commander of section I (Turin) of the M.V.S.N.
