VIEW DESCRIPTION

Nice photo grouping of Oberst Josef Grassmann serving as a commander with Grenadier-Regiment 305. Knight's Cross winner on 9. November 1942 as commander of the II./Grenadier-Regiment 326. German Cross in Gold winner on 11. May 1944.

The grouping consists of 71 photos and shows his service mainly on the Eastern Front. In five photos he is wearing the Knight's Cross. Also a nice hand-signed portrait photo of him. Among them are three photos that show him as a veteran, taken after 1945.
