Description

Very early double-sided etched blade showing the inscription "SS-Standarte Deutschland" and "Die Flamme für Grossdeutschland lodert ewiglich - Heinrich Himmler". Also oak leaf decorations on both sides. "Paul Weyersberg" maker marked. Mint condition.

Silver-plated brass hilt. Comes with a rayskin finished handle with intact wire wrapping. The langets bear the SS runes on one side and the "D" (emblem of the "Deutschland") on the other. Black re-painted steel scabbard. It has no dents.

Traces of wear.

Length: 92 cm.

A very early piece worn by an officer before the regular SS sabers were issued.
