Description

Ring of Honor of the city of Iserlohn to Major Willy Johannmeyer. The ring is made of genuine gold and silver. "333" gold and "900" silver are hallmarked inside. The top shows the coat of arms of the city of Iserlohn (gold). Around the coat of arms runs the lettering "EHRENRING STADT ISERLOHN" (gold). On both sides are two small plaques (gold) showing a sword and torch. An impressive and large ring.

Inner diameter: 20.36 mm.

Weight: 24.5 gr. 

Includes the original certificate to the ring. Issued in February 1944. Hand-signed by the mayor of the city of Iserlohn. The ring was awarded to him for this bravery and the award of the Knight's Cross with Oak Leaves. The seal has come off the certificate (missing). Comes with the original folder. Signs of use.

Size: 39.5x32 cm.

Major Willy Johannmeyer served as the Führer of II./Infanterie-Regiment 503 (Grenadier-Regiment 503). Awarded the Knight's Cross on 16. May 1942 and the Oak Leaves on 18. November 1943. In November 1944, he was transferred to the Führerhauptquartier and was the last Army Adjutant of Adolf Hilter from April 1945. He was also in the "Führerbunker" in Berlin during the last days of World War II. His SS membership number was 262 992.
