Description

Luftwaffe visor cap for EM and NCOs. Unlike an officer's cap which was always worn with a silver bullion piping, EM and NCOs had a colored piping that indicated the branch they were serving for.

Branch: Artillery/anti-aircraft. Red piping.
Insignia: Zinc eagle and wreath badge, with missing prongs to the wreath badge. The wreath badge a bit loose but in position. Contemporary attached.

Chin strap: textbook black strap for EM and NCOs in mint condition, probably added later.

Lining: Yellow color silk with minor signs of wear and age.
Celluloid diamond: intact. The EREL company logo is hard to see anymore. Sticker of the seller "Hans Dürbeck Wien"  on the upper side of the diamond.  The former wearer's nametag "Julius Leischner" was originally placed in the flap.

Sweatband: Brown leather, still soft - but one crack to the front. EREL stamp embossed to the left.

Nice, barely worn visor-cap in good condition without moth holes and fresh colors.
