Description

VIEW DESCRIPTION

Very early 1st pattern DLV/Luftwaffe Borddolch. So-called "transitional model". Engraved blade "Aus Dankbarkeit gewidmet Schirrmeister-Anwärter 1934/35".

The blade is in good condition. The tip is without damage. Clean blade. "SMF, Solingen" maker marked. Early nickel-silver ("Neusilber") handle fittings. Blue leather finished grip with intact wire wrapping.

Leather-finished scabbard without metal construction inside, made from cardboard. Nickel fittings. They are attached by three large staples instead of screws. The staple on the bottom is missing.

With the matching dagger chain. Tombak type. A fully working snap clip.

Hard to find.
