Description
Rare Lappland Shield grouping to Leutnant d.R. Dr. Hermann Schumacher. Out of a household closing according to our consignor and never part of a collection before.

Nice Wehrmacht with original attached photo. A long list with all units from 12.2.1940 unit 8.5.1945. Many trainings. Also at "Waffenschule Norwegen".
Medals and awards: Iron Cross 2nd Class, War Merit Cross 2nd Class, Lappland Shield.

All campaigns listed on page 32/33. England, Norway.
Interesting postwar notes done in Norway.

The Lappland Shield is a very nice hollow constructed example with three prongs. Made from bronzed metal. A 1957 example. An official postwar award and not a replica!

Certificate to the War Merit Cross 2nd Class with swords. 30.1.1945 issued to Leutnant Schumacher serving with Generalkommando LXX.A.A. Signed by General der Artillerie Hermann Tittel.
Certificate to Lappland Shield issued on 12.7.1945 to Leutnant Hermann Schumacher serving with Korpsnachrichtenabteilung 470 (mot). Signed by General der Artillerie Hermann Tittel. Furthermore a unknown document showing a picture of "DER LAPPLAND-SCHILD". Probably handed out with the document and shield. DIN A5 size.
Certificate to the Iron Cross 2nd Class. "Luftgaukommando Norwegen" stamped. 6.6.1942 issued. Signed by an Generalleutnant.

His work book, drivers license and travel ID. His DRA Sports Badge booklet with the actual cloth badge. The green award booklet for the German Horseman's Badge as well as two ancestry booklets. Two photographes. His large size original PHD document of December 1936.
Finally two Mai and August 1945 documents proving more details on his service time.

Nice untouched grouping.
