Waffen-SS Soldbuch to SS-Rottenführer Horst Geyer serving with "Jagdeinsatz Donau" of SS-Jagdverband Südost" (Feldpostnummer: 45817) as well as with "2./Rekr.Abt./Begl.Btl.RF-SS" which was part of 16. SS-Panzergrenadier-Division „Reichsführer SS“. The Soldbuch comes with an original photograph applied and was issued on 16.3.1945.
His Ersatztruppenteil was "SS-Wachbataillon Oranienburg" as stated on page 4. The Soldbuch is full of late war entries. Quite a lot for a Soldbuch which was issued not even two months before the end of the war. Earlier note of also copied to this Soldbuch.
SS-Jagdverband Südost was formed January 1945 from Verband Wildschütz of the Division Brandenburg. Geyer served with SS-Jagdversand Südost which was commanded by SS-Hauptsturmführer Priemer. Priemer signed on page 23 as "SS-Hauptsturmführer u. Jagdeinsatzleiter". Underneath is not that Geyer was discharged on 8.5.1945.
