Hope served with Kampfgeschwader 2 when he was awarded the Knight's Cross on 30.12.1940. He commanded Kampfgeschwader 100 when awarded the Oak Leaves on 24.3.1944.
DIN A5 "Vorläufiges Besitzzeugnis". Not folded. He must have kept it inside a album once. You can see marks and small damage to the corners. Postwar writing "Original nicht mehr erreicht No= 431".
"Der Reichsminister der Luftfahrt und Oberbefehlshaber der Luftwaffe - Nr. 378" stamped.
Original ink signature of "Der Chef des Luftwaffenpersonalamtes" Generaloberst Bruno Loerzer. It looks like he signed with a pen who run out of ink first and had a second try later. The first part of his signature was added twice.
