'Verwundeten-Abzeichen in Schwarz' (ie. black wound-badge), being a non-marked example of the first pattern (also referred to as Spanish Civil War-pattern). The (very pronounced- and detailed) piece is unmarked and has lost most of its black-coloured finish (and shows its copper-toned-underlay) and is clearly used ie. worn. It comes mounted on its functional pin- ie. catch set-up.
