A wartime manufactured visor cap for a Feldgendarmerie / Wehrkreis officer. It left the tailor as an EM/NCO visor cap and had an officer's chin straps with buttons added afterwards. This happened a lot.
The insignia are from zinc and perfect matching. Certainly original attached to this cap.
Orange piping. Orange as well as grey inner lining. Water-resistant. Intact celluloid diamond. "Jaob Dieterle Stuttgart" maker marked. Brown sweat-band connected with purple cloth to the cap. The purple cloth is the only area where this cap shows moth damage.
