Description

A very nice grouping to Matrosengefreiten Heinz Elze, crewmen of the Battleship "Scharnhorst".

Certificate to High Seas Fleet Badge. Issued on board of the "Scharnhorst" on 4. October 1941. Signed by Vize-Admiral Otto Ciliax (Knight's Cross winner). Dark patina to the document.

High Seas Fleet Badge by Schwerin. Nicely worn tombak badge. "Schwerin, Berlin" maker marked. With matching 16mm-miniature pin. "L/57" maker marked.

Soldbuch issued on 1. May 1941 with original photo. Awards: High Seas Fleet Badge. Noted on page 4. His unis are listed on page 23. Aboard the "Scharnhorst" until December 1942. On 8. April 1943 Heinz Elze transferred to Marine-Flakschule II, based in France. In August 1944, after the allied invasion in France, the unit was refomred into a Marine Infanterie unit as well as renamed in Marine-Regiment Gebauer. Already disbanded in September 1944.

Brass dog tag. "N. 2130/40 S." numbered. Matching with Soldbuch and certificate. Original neckchain.

HJ Marine Sports Badge exercise booklet. Original applied photography. Very rare.

Five period time photographs. Including a fine portrait photo and two of the "Scharnhorst".

Kriegsmarine whistle with official cord. Named to him.

POW document, dated 28. May 1946. Most probably French POW.

"Deutscher Marinebund e.V." porcelain plate. Issued to the members. Maker marked and "1982" dated to the back. No chipping. Diameter: 26 cm.

Firelighter. Also named to him.

Furthermore six period time documents as well as two postwar documents.
