A very rare DJ/HJ "LANDSKNECHT" marching drum.

The drum comes with both original drumsticks as well as matching leather holder.

So called "double-head" drum with two skins. Made from calfskin. The lower skin has three holes.

Wooden body with a white backround and red painted "flames". A wooden band around the drum to the top and bottom. Maybe replaced, the bands should be red/white or black painted. Eight attached double-ropes to both wooden bands, around the drum (one broken). Each with an adjustable leather collar.

Two metal rings to allow for the attachment of the carrying strap. Both also replaced. Including leather carrying strap which is postwar.

The drum has left the factory as a DJ drum with black "flames". Period time red re-painted to convert it to a HJ drum. The original black factory color is still underneath.
