Description

Bundeswehr uniform grouping to Wehrmacht Knight's Cross recipient Kurt Bentin (1914 - 1942). Bentin was awarded the Knight's Cross on 12.2.1945 as commander of Grenadier-Bataillon "Feldherrnhalle" (part of 544.Volksgrenadier-Division) at Festung Schneidemühl. He was awarded the German Cross and the Close Combat Clasp for at least 15 days of close combat.

Major Bundeswehrmacht tunic with three ribbon bars attached to small loops showing all WWII awards. 1960 dated name tag to the inner pocket: "Hptm. Kurt Bentin". The tunic was tailored by Peterson & Co. München. Medium size.
Including his personal visor cap. Size 56.

Good condition.

Kurt Bentin served after the war with the Bundeswehr from 2nd July 1956 until 31st March 1968 with finally reaching the rank of Major.
