Description
Extremely rare fine quality porcelain plaque presented to "MAJOR KÜBLER" by "DAS PANZER-LEHR-REGIMENT". 
Major Kübler was actually Major Christian Kübler, commander of II./Panzergrenadier-Lehr-Regiment 901. He served as bataillon commander from "1.5.1942 - 21.12.1942". The plaque was presented to him when leaving the unit on 21.12.1942.
 
Oberstleutnant Kübler (1909-1973) served as commander Panzergrenadier-Regiment 304 from August 1944 - September 1944 when being wounded. He was ordered to command Heeres-Unteroffiziersschule (Panzergrenadiere) Eisenach from Februar 1945 until the end of WWII.
 
High quality glazed porcelain plaque of impressive size showing the eagle of the Francoist Spain. Parts color and gilded.
Raised letters "DAS PANZER-LEHR-REGIMENT SEINEM SCHEIDENDEN KAMERADEN". Gilt lettering "MAJOR KÜBLER 1.5.1942 - 21.12.1942".
 
Gold and red bordering. No chips or damage.
Made by the top quality manufacturer "KPM". Maker marked to the reverse. 
Size: 24,5cm x 31cm. Modern wire hanger to the reverse.
