Wehrmacht 1942 engraved cigar case

Description
Fine WW2 period time cigar case given to Heeresbaumeister Franz Pohren for his promotion to a Major (Ing.) on 27.2.1942.
Decided with a nice engraving to the inside of the top. Given to his by his comrades "Deine Kameraden" in Berlin. The top holds a 1939 War Merit Cross 1st Class.

A quite heavy brass case with a thick silver finish. Wooden inlay. No stamps or markings.

While cases like these are made up a lot these days with exciting engravings we believe this to be a definitive period time one.

Size: 17cm + 12cm + 5cm.
Weight: approximately 810gr.
