Description
Important grouping to Eduard Bier, Oberst der Schutzpolizei "Befehlshaber der Ordnungspolizei Berlin" in 1936/37. The grouping contains three rare promotion documents with original signatures of Hermann Göring, Adolf Hitler and Heinrich Himmler.

Bier served with 5.Lothringischen Infanterie-Regiment 144 before WW1. He was sent to Tsingtau and was in captivity from 1914 until 1919. You will find more information as well as a photo of him of this time on the net. Bier became a high raking police officer in the 1930s and 1940s and retired in 1943.

The grouping was sold previously with medals to our information. We found out following information regarding details and awards to Bier:

"Eduard Bier, geb. 21.01.1886, seit 1904 Heer, Marine-Infanterist, Nov. 1914 - Dez. 1919 Kriegsgefangenschaft in Kurume, März 1920 Übertritt zur Armee, spätestens seit Juni 1921 Polizei, später Schutz-Polizei, Oktober 1943 Ruhestand)
Eisernem Kreuz 1914 2.Klasse, Kriegsverdienstkreuz 2.Klasse ohne Schwerter, Frontkämpferehrenkreuz, Polizei-Dienstauszeichnung 1.Stufe, Deutsches Olympia-Ehrenzeichen 2.Klasse, Luftschutzehrenzeichen 2.Stufe, Kolonialabzeichen (Elefantenorden)"

The grouping as being offered at this auction contains following documents:

- promotion document Fähnrich der Infanterie. June 1905. 4 page document. Folded several times.
- promotion document Leutnant der Infanterie. August 1906. 4 page document. Folded several times.
- promotion document Oberleutnant der Marineinfanterie. November 1914. 4 page document. Folded twice.
- promotion document Hauptmann der Schutzpolizei and "Polizei-Major". June/December 1921. Facsimile signature of the "Minister des Inneren". Folded twice. Holes.
- "Zeugnis der Reife zum Offizier". 4 page document. Folded several times. Holes. July 1906. Original ink signature of a Generalleutnant.
- paper of the "Königlichen Militär-Turnanstalt". 4 pages. February 1910. Folded twice.

Three important document with original signatures of Hermann Göring and Heinrich Himmler:

1. Promotion document Oberstleutnant der Schutzpolizei with original ink signatures of Adolf Hitler and Hermann Göring. Berlin 10.10.1935 issued. A 4 page document folded once. Four holes. Both signatures are definitely real ink.

2. Promotion document Oberst der Schutzpolizei with ink signatures of Adolf Hitler and Heinrich Himmler. Issued at "Führer-Hauptquartier" on 15.7.1942. Hitler's signature might be a "autopen" with ink however Himmler's signature was certainly done by himself.

3. Retirement document issued at "Führer-Hauptquartier" on 2.10.1943. Ink signatures of Adolf Hitler and Heinrich Himmler. Hitler's signature might be a "autopen" with ink however Himmler's signature was certainly done by himself.

All three documents are 4 page certificates with crinkles and 4 holes each. Folded at least one time.

The grouping contains one imperial photograph of Bier.
A very rare grouping!
