Important Luftwaffe Honor Goblet grouping to pilot and observer Hauptmann im Generalstab Klaus Born. Born was part of the Afrika Campaign and served as Staffelkapitän 3/K.G.4. He was awarded the Sports Badge in bronze, Sudetenland Medal, Luftwaffe 4 years Long Service Award, Iron Cross 2nd Class, Iron Cross 1st Class, Squadron Clasp for Kampfflieger in bronze, silver and gold, East Medal, Luftwaffe Honor Goblet, Observer's Badge, and the German-Italian Campaign Medal.
Born served from 1935 until 1945. He was part of the Poland Campaign from the first day: 1.9.1939. Born served various units such as Pz.Abw.Abt.32, Kampfgeschwader 4, "Stab Fliegerführer 2 Tunis", "Stab Fliegerführer 2 Sardinien", Stab/Lfl.Kdo.2, some "Italien" unit which is hard to read, Stab/ Lfl.Kdo Reich, etc... He was involved in "Abwehr engl./amerikanischen Angriffe gegen das Reichsgebiet".
Wehrpaß with many important notes. Cover separated from the book which is however in nice condition.
Soldbuch intact with many notes. All swastikas overpainted. "Afrikanischen Boden betreffen am 17.11." note on page 21. Both come with an originally applied photo.
Blue "Luftwaffenbeobachterschein" and "Luftwaffen-Flugzeugführerschein". The work book of his later wife, Christa Wagner, working for "Der Reichsminister für Bewaffnung und Munition".

Alpaka goblet with nice silver finish and patina. "HAUPTMANN KLAUS BORN AM 6.10.1942" engraved. Maker marked "Joh. Wagner & Sohn". Feinsilber ALPAKA AUFLAGE marked. Good condition.
