17 mm.-sized 'Infanterie-Sturmabzeichen in Silber' (ie. silver class infantry assault badge or IAB), being a non-marked example that comes mounted on its period 'LDO'-marked- (and 'L/52'-ink-stamped-) carton-based card. The (zinc-based-) piece has lost some of its silver-toned finish but is hardly used nor worn. The miniature-pin comes mounted on its functional pin.
