Waffen-SS, M42 steel-helmet with single 'SS'-decal. The helmet retains its period and complete liner (which shows zinc-based-ring) and came with its complete, leather-based (and maker- ie. 'C.Budischowsky - Wien - 1940'-marked-) helmet-strap. The (pig-skin) liner is void of any size-stamp and comes with its period drawstring in place. The liner is period-affixed by means of its 3 (period- and non-altered) rivets. The steel-helmet shows the stamped makers'- (ie. size) designation: 'TKC 64' and shows the numeral: '2939'. The helmet truly retains most of its period, (darker)green-coloured colour and came with its period 'runes'-decal attached (which is almost completely present and nicely preserved). The helmet shows one dented-area (just above ie. in the decal-area), however, nothing that shocking. The piece shows moderate wear and usage and shows some staining, dirt and minimal paint-loss: it has, however, never been cleaned and comes as found.
