Wehrmacht metal-based MG-ammunition case (ie. 'Patronenkasten 41 für M.G.'). The piece is executed in yellowish-tan-coloured paint and shows wear, age and/or rust-staining. It is, moreover, quite dirty and was never cleaned and comes as found. The case bears on both sides the impressed text: 'Patr.Kst. 41 f.M.G.' as more often. This typical yellowish-tan-coloured painted color is sometimes referred to as being exclusively intended for tropical-usage but was actually used throughout the war.
