Document grouping to Oberzahlmeister Helmut Alter serving with Inf.Rgt.28 and Inf.Rgt.38. Alter was wounded during the Poland Campaign.
He was awarded the 4th Class Long Service Award, Sudetenland Medal, Wound Badge in black, Iron Cross 2nd Class, War Merit Cross 2nd Class withs words.
The documents grouping includes award documents for the 1939 Iron Cross 2nd Class signed by a General der Infantry, the Wound Badge in Black (in very unsual small-size format), the 1 October 1938 Sudetenland Campaign Medal with Spange, Armed Forces Long Service Medal 4th Class, a document for promotion to Feldwebel, two WHW documents for donations to the war effort, and Soldbuch with photograph and numerous entries. All documents are in near-mint unfolded condition.
