Interesting M42 Heer sidecap for a Jäger EM/NCO. It was period time converted into an M43 peaked cap by adding a visor. They also attached the M43 trapezoid cap badge by machine at the same time. That definitely happened period time! Conversions like this can be seen on many original photographs.
