Imperial Germany - Pilot's watch by F.W. Kreis
Description
A rare Imperial Pilot's watch. Around 1900/1910. Used by Flying Corps.
So-called "Borduhr". Nickel-plated steel watch case. White watch dial. "Eigentum der Fliegertruppen" marked as well as "F.W. Kreis, Berlin" maker marked. No damage. Engraved back plate with emblem of the "Fliegertruppe" and inscription "FZL". Inside also engraved "W12.8Bü." or "W12.88ü." as well as "HK 1802/1". Hinged back plate (does not close properly).
Clockwork "SWISS MADE" stamped. The clock is running very fine.
Diameter: 53 mm.
Slight pitting and signs of use. Good condition.
