Period time oil of a Gebirgsjäger Hauptmann. He is wearing a "Bergmütze" field cap and his field tunic, over it a coat. Painted on canvas. Dated "17.4.42". Artist signature as well as "Makejewka ?" most probably the name of the city in the Ukraine. "Im Osten 22.IV.42" written with pencil to the reverse. Period time framed.
