Description
Important grouping to Staffelkapitän 10./Jagdgeschwader 51 "Mölders" and later Gruppenkommandeur IV./Jagdgeschwader 51, Major Hans Knauth. Knauth took over the commander of Jagdgeschwader 101 on 11.9.1944 from his precursor Walter Nowotny fighter over Germany until 1945. Knauth was a Luftwaffe Me109 fighter pilot "ace" awarded the German Cross in gold on 29.04.1943 with 26 aerial victories.

Please see next lot for his personal photo album as well as his German Cross in gold.

Militär-Flugzeugführerschein (flying license) with original attached photograph.

Excellent Honor Goblet certificate issued on 13.10.1941. Not folded. Two holes only.
Facsimile signature of Hermann Göring.

Awarded for "Anerkennung seiner hervorragenden Tapferkeit und der vorbildlichen Führung seiner Jagdfliegerstaffel".
That is certainly a very rare explanation as it can only be issued to Staffel commanders like Knauth.

Generalfeldmarschall Kesselring has sent a telegram of congratulation which is addressed to "J.G.51" and sent on 5.11.41. It is still part of the grouping.

Certificate to the Pilot's Badge. Original ink signature of Ritter von Greim. Issued on 7.10.1937.
Certificate to the Iron Cross 2nd Class issued on 1.12.1949 and signed by chief of II.Flieger-Korps. Folded once.
Certificate to the Sudetenland Medal issued on 7.9.1939 serving with I./Jagdgeschwader 77.

There is an impressive 4 page citation with facsimile signature of Hermann Göring. It promotes him an Leutnant.
March 1940 issued "Dienstleitungszeugnis" to Leutnant Knauth serving with I./Jagdgeschwader 77. Signed by an Oberleutnant.
Another February 1938 "Zeugnis" issued by "Luftkriegsschule Dresden".

There are 18 original and extremely rare "kill confirmation" certificates giving you exact details on the aircraft he shot down as well as the time and date. The earliest report dates back to 25.11.1941 and confirms the 5th kill of the Staffel, the last dates back to 14.4.1943 and confirms his 89th kill of the Staffel. Knauth shot down a Spitfire. All kills were claimed serving with 10./J.G.51 /  IV./J.G.51.
