Genlt. Lehmann - I.R.40 engraved silver Schnaps cup

Description
Generalleutnant Josef Lehmann (1888-1971) served as company commander and deputy bataillon commander during WW1 with 15. Bayerisches Infanterie-Regiment. He served with the Reichswehr from 1919-1920 and joined the Bayerische Landespolizei (police) in 1920 where he stay until 1935. In 1935, he served with the Wehrmacht and was later promoted "Befehlshaber der Deutschen Truppen in Holland". He spent service time with the Führer-Reserve and many other units. Lehmann commanded 82. Infanterie-Division from 1939 until 1942. He was captured on 6.5.1945 and released on 6.7.1947.

Engraved "Schnaps" cup from real silver presented to Lehmann when leaving Ersatzbataillon of Infanterie-Regiment 40 in November 1938.
