Heer M40 single decal helmet to Knight's Cross recipient Oberleutnant Rudolf Sulzer. Sulzer was awarded the Knight's Cross as a Hauptmann on 11.1.1944 as a Hauptmann and commander of II./Grenadier-Regiment 161 which was part of 81. Infanterie-Division.
Untouched M40 helmet with full original fieldgrey factory paint. Original attached Heer eagle decal in fantastic condition and still over 95%. Minor light rust to the shell. ET66 marked. An ink "Abgenommen - Wehrmacht-Beschaffungsamt" dome stamp to the inside.
Original attached leather liner. The prongs of the rivets are still absolutely flat and were never opened. "Oblt. Sulzer" named as well as Size "58" stamped to the liner. Original soft leather chin strap. The maker and date is hard to read but you can read "GUSTAV....." (also, hard to see on the picture.
