A period time Third Reich sculpture of a dug. Made by the artist Bruno Wendel in 1942. The duck was exhibited in the "Großen Deutschen Kunstausstellung" 1943. The exhibition took place at the "Haus der Deutschen Kunst" in Munich. On 26. June 1943, Mr. Karl Kronenberg bought for 500 Reichmark the sculpture directly from the exhibition. Including a photocopy of the period time invoice.
The sculpture is made from so-called "Hartstuck" (stucco). Bronzed. An attached golden seal "Ausgestellt im Haus der Deutschen Kunst 1943" (Exhibited in the House of German Art 1943) to the bottom. Furthermore handwritten information.
Slight chipping mainly on the plumage in the back and a small piece is broken off as well as a chip on the neck. Good condition.
