Very early SA Service Dagger with original dedication of Ernst Röhm to the blade. It was made by the Pack & Söhne company. Etched "In herzlicher Kameradschaft Ernst Röhm" to the reverse. E.P. & S. maker marked.
Röhm dedications had to be removed from all daggers after the Röhm Putch in 1934 which explains why an untouched example like this is so rare. The dagger shows rust to the bronzed scabbard and water damage to the blade. The tombak and nickel parts, as well as the wooden handle, is in very nice condition. It must have been hidden after 1934 somewhere humid.
Wooden handle without damage. "S" marked to the cross guard. Rust to the blade as well as serious pitting. Leather hanger from dry leather. Scabbar fittings with unopened screws.
