Description

Important document grouping to SS-Untersturmführer Udo-Wolfgang Jordan serving with 3./Leibstandarte SS "Adolf Hitler" and II. SS Panzerregiment 9.SS-Panzerdivision "Hohenstaufen".

The lot consists of:

1. Soldbuch to SS-Untersturmführer Udo-Wolfgang Jordan serving with 3./Leibstandarte SS "Adolf Hitler" and II. SS Panzerregiment 9.SS-Panzerdivision "Hohenstaufen". Issued on 10. December 1940. With original attached photo. His rank list is on page 1. Other units where he served are on page four. Awarded with 1939 Iron Cross 1st Class, 1939 Iron Cross 2nd Class, Tank Assault Badge in Bronze and the Wound Badge in Black. He was wounded three times, two times in Russia (Battle of Charkow) and one in Hungary. He also fought in the Battle of the Bulge. There he was deployed as a platoon commander and vice company commander. Good condition 2.

2. 1939 Iron Cross 2nd Class with bag of issue. Made by "Anton Schenkl´s Nachfolger, Wien". "27" maker marked to the ring. Three-piece construction. Iron core. Full black paint to the core. The backside and the ring with glue stains. With a matching bag of issue.Nice condition 2.

3. Notification to the father of SS-Untersturmführer Udo-Wolfgang Jordan that his son has been awarded with the 1939 Iron Cross 2nd Class. Signed by SS-Oberscharführer Hermann Dahlke (Knight's Cross winner), Company troop leader in the 3./1. SS-Panzergrenadier-Regiment "Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler. He died on 5. July 1943 in Belgorod. Issued on 9. May 1943. The notification is glued on a sheet of paper. On the notification is glued a ribbon fragment of the 1939 Iron Cross 2nd Class. Furthermore a newspaper clipping of Hermann Dahlke. Good condition 2.

4. 29 photographs of SS-Untersturmführer Udo-Wolfgang Jordan showing him in the uniform of the Leibstandarte, later as a POW and some pictures after the war. Taken from a photo album. Good condition 2.

5. ID card of his mother Hilda Jordan. Issued on 27. January 1942. With original attached photo. Good condition 2.

6. 20 postwar documents. Various conditions.
