Description

Nice document grouping to Feldwebel Heinrich Weber serving with 7.Seenotstaffel. The lot consists of:

1. Certificate to Luftwaffe Pilots Badge. Issued on 10.October 1940. Facsimile signature Generalleutnant Gustav Kastner-Kirdorf. Folded and signs of use. Condition 2.

2. Promotion document to Unteroffizier Heinrich Weber. Promoted to Feldwebel. Issued on 1.March 1944. Signed by Oberstleutnant Securius (Commander of the Seenotbereichskommando XI). Folded. Condition 2.

The 7.Seenotstaffel was set up in Kiel-Holtenau in March 1941. They moved to Schellingwoude in March 1941, to Varna in April 1941 and to Saloniki-Mikra in the same month. Here it was until April1 942 part of the III. sea emergency group and subordinated to the sea emergency center (L) Athens. On July 7, 1941 the squadron moved on to Athens-Phaleron, where they were subordinated to the sea emergency area command XI from June 1942. On 19 August 1944 the squadron became part of the sea rescue group 70.
