Important imperial WW1 period time cigarette case for a member of "Jagdgeschwaders Nr. I Freiherr von Richthofen", possible for a pilot. The initials engraved are "ES" which could stand for two members of the Geschwader: Eberhardt Stapenhorst or Eugen Siempelkamp.
A small metal or silver aircraft as well as the emblem of the Geschwader attached, however this must have been attached in the 1930s or 40s (pre 1945).
"Zum Andenken d 7.9.17" engraved to the inside.
