Description
1936 dated silvered dish presented by NSDAP member Dr. Karl Strölin - mayor of the city of Stuttgart from 1933 until 1945 - during a concenert in Stuttgart on 18.11.1936.
 
Classic "Germanic" designed. Brass. Silvered.
Engraved "Gewidmet von Oberbürgermeister Dr. Strölin anlässlich des Konzerts in Stuttgart 18. Nov. 1936". Furthermore the crest of Stuttgart.
 
Signs of use. No dents. Good condition 2. 
No markings found. Diameter: 36cm. 
 
Strölin is not only well known for his political "career" but also for being connected with Stauffenberg's 20th July plot. He was disband from the NSDAP Reichsleitung in 1944 but stayed mayor of Stuttgart. 
 
The role of Dr. Karl Strölin was shown in the 1951 US movie "The Desert Fox". Cedric Hardwicke played Karl Strölin.
