US compass in good worn condition, comes with its very rare field camouflaged carrying pouch. This set was found years ago in the village of Juslenville in the Ardennes, Belgium. The pouch is complete with the rear webbing loop for the attachment of a compass lanyard. These pouches are made in a khaki heavier weight canvas than the standard model with a special wax treatment to help prevent the ingress of sea water into the compass. This US Airborne unit is known for spray painted their uniforms and equipments in green and black paint. Rare set !
