A beautiful and rare USM1 1st Lieutenant of the « V Corps ». The helmet's exterior is in untouched condition and retains well over 95% of its paint to include the desirable white and blue painted unit markings of the « V Corps », the 1st Lt. rank and the vertical white officer bar. The helmet retains the early khaki web straps with brass hardware. Some wear along the rim and minor paint loss is naturally present. Comes with a 1st Lt. liner, it retains well over 90% of the green factory paint. The front features the white painted 1st. Lt. rank on the front and the vertical « Follow Me » officer's bar at the rear. Interior remains all complete. Showing nice signs of period wear, some dust and oxidation naturally present. Leather chinstrap is present and supple. A choice unit marked USM1 combat helmet not often seen. The V Corps fought in the Battle of the Bulge.
