A superb and extremely rare unissued Waffen-SS M42 second type camouflage service smock variant. Produced in a pattern referred to as « Plane Tree 3/4 » and constructed from a smooth linen based cotton material. Unknown to most collectors this particular color variation is the rarest amongst factory produced camouflage material and referred to as the « Orange Variant ». Both sides are printed and exhibit really strong and contrasting colors. Cuffs and waist still retain their elastic bands. The pockets of the smock are produced from a tan color linen material. Smock retains its original drawstring. All buttons are present and exhibit a nice feature using camouflage « HBT » material for reinforcement. All foliage loops are present and factory sewn. Smock is in mint unissued condition. One if not the hardest to find variants in Waffen-SS camouflage collecting.
