Extremely rare - if not unique - Wehrmacht sidecap of a medical Heer officer. He had privately purchased this sidecap asking his tailor to make him an army cut cap from blue Luftwaffe cloth. The brach color of medical troops was blue which is why he must have preferred this style.
Textbook silver officer's piping. Grass green Heer officer's machine-woven eagle attavched by hand. A blue backed Luftwaffe officer's cockade attached by hand. Hand-attached blue medical branch soutache.
Very fine cotton lining. Size 60 stamped. "Qualitäts-Marke" marked leather sweat-band.
Very nice condition with almost no signs of wear. Minor moth bites to the outside only. No moth holes.
